As we welcome the new year, I am pleased to take a step back and assess the progression of DaoDe Search over the past year. As a founder, I take pride in the fact that the company’s progress has been parallel to my own. DaoDe Search has gone through different states at different stages and I’ve noticed this to be a direct reflection of my personal growth and life.
At the start of 2021, I was satisfied with the modest progress we had made as a team. However, I learned the hard way a quote by William Penn “They that soar too high, often fall hard.” This made me realise how important it is to ensure that pride and arrogance are not embedded in our core values.
A year later I am ecstatic to see how far we’ve come as a team. However, it is important to guard our values against arrogance and impatience as well as maintaining competence that lets us walk on thin ice, without losing sight of our goals.
This year my understanding of leadership has expanded. I have realized that it is much more than setting goals and a clear direction for an organization. A good leader should also be a team player and a supporter who celebrates the team and keeps them motivated. Of all qualities, a leader should possess compassion as well as wisdom. Their energy should bring forth positive light wherever it reaches. The practice of being a true leader is a never-ending road.
Lastly this new year, I am looking forward to the growth of DaoDe Search as well as every member of our team. I am extremely proud to be working side by side with a passionate team that is driven, self-motivated and disciplined. I intend to do my best to live up to the expectations of all my team members and elevate their growth. It is my wish that this new year everyone can grow to fully realize and grasp the potential that exists in all of us.
I want to take this opportunity to Thank each member of this team which has proven to be the most crucial asset of DaoDe Search. Let us nourish an organizational culture that focuses on a cooperative spirit, compassion, love and care.
